FlyTour XD or Flying Cinema Tour Of Helsinki offers 4D cinema experience tours of Helsinki & Finland in the virtual cinema. The premises at FlyTour XD designed by Arkkitehdit-Q4 consists of a cinema and a café and was opened in 2016.
Acoustic solutions for cinemas
The interior design of any cinema is an integral part of the visitor experience and good acoustics are essential for ensuring the film can be heard clearly and enjoyed by the visitors. On top cinema sound is a heavy sound that you want to keep inside the cinema with little transmission to the room outside.

Parafon Buller dampens the noise in cinemas
Parafon Buller acoustic ceiling tiles were installed in the cinema to enhance the atmospheric surround sound which is an important part of the 4D customer experience of FlyTour XD. The cinema is installed with black, sound-absorbing Parafon® Buller acoustic tiles.
Eye-catching café interior
The customer experience starts in the café in the entrance. Here it was important to create an eye-catching experience – also with the ceiling. The ceiling of the café features a multi-layer ceiling construction with the acoustic, sound-absorbing Parafon Step ceiling tiles. Markus Lønn explains: “Parafon Step is one of the most exciting suspended ceiling tiles available at the moment. The aim with this suspended ceiling is to give the customer a greater freedom of choice. You can choose your colour, size or thickness of your suspended ceiling tiles, still the price remains the same.”
