Reduce noise in production facilities

Pre production of houses is noisy due to noise from, among other things, nail guns and cutting machines. As the noise is very loud, it was very important to find a well-functioning acoustic solution for the production site of Götenehus. The choice fell on Parafon Buller. After the ceiling tiles were installed, the acoustics improved considerably.

An old production facility that was built in the late 60s has previously been shared by the wooden house manufacturer Götenehus with another company. Since that company chose to close down its operations at the beginning of 2016, Götenehus has gradually renovated the premises at the same time as production has been ongoing as usual.

When the work environment is noisy

Building wooden house elements is a noisy production due to noise from, among other things, nail guns and cutting machines as exterior roofs, exterior walls and interior walls are manufactured in the production. As the noise is very loud, it was very important to find a well-functioning acoustic solution for the production site. The choice fell on Parafon® Buller 1200x1200x50 in the color natural.

The production facility, which is 110 meters long and 30 meters wide, currently employs about 15 people. It was important for Götenehus to reduce the noise in the room as much as possible.

Utan bullerdämpande skivor så var det ett ohyggligt oväsen. När taket sattes upp så blev akustiken avsevärt bättre.

The acoustic ceiling in the same color

One half of the roof already consisted of a natural-colored acoustic ceiling tile,The company chose to continue with the same product for the remaining half. The roof is mounted with screws. "We assembled in April 2016," says Niclas Appelqvist, who is supervisor at B&L Lund. “Initially, we cleaned the room from previous operations from traverses, paint boxes, and walls to get a large free area. “We repaired the old flooring and installed acoustic ceiling tiles from Parafon on the ceiling in the remaining part. In this way, Götenehus has the same suspended acoustic ceiling in all halls.

Nicklas Svensson, Production Manager at Götenehus, has agreed with staff who worked when previous halls were renovated. - Without noise-reducing acoustic ceiling tiles, it was a horrible noise. When the ceiling tiles were installed, the acoustics improved considerably.
