Get the noise under control with Parafon Buller

Assar Industrial Innovation Arena in Skövde is a meeting place where education, innovation and research can develop new solutions for the industry and was inaugurated in March 2018. Here, everyone who works within the manufacturing industry or at technology companies is invited to be inspired by new technology, new solutions and research or simply come in contact with others in the same industry.

The initiators are Gothia Innovation AB, Skövde University, IDC West Sweden AB, Volvo Car Corporation and the Volvo Group, which now have a common physical platform where they can collaborate with other companies in the industry. In the large hall, which is actually Volvo's first manufacturing hall, PE's architects were commissioned to transform Volvo GTO's former industrial hall into Assar Industrial Innovation Arena.

Get the acoustics under control

Parafon Buller is installed in the large industrial hall so that the industrial design and feeling is preserved and highlighted. Parafon Buller is an effective sound absorber with class A absorption It is available in many different designs, thicknesses, sizes and colors. Here, the architect has chosen a gray color like colored concrete.

Parafon Buller is applied in a wide range of uses in industrial environments or where efficient fireproof sound absorption wants to be achieved. The good fire properties of stone wool - which means that it stays dimensionally stable even in very high temperatures - and climate properties as well as the sound absorption make it extra suitable for harsh environments such as industrial premises, warehouses, sports facilities, parking garages and the like.

Gray Paraffin Step in the entrance

In the entrance, the innovative product Parafon Step has been installed. Parafon Step is an acoustic concept where the customer can decide the design and color. A combination of different thicknesses and formats means that you get a dynamic and unique acoustic ceiling. In this case, the architect has chosen boards in the format 300x600 mm and the thicknesses 18, 25 and 40 mm in the color NCS S 5502-B.
